Cardiovascular diseases remain one of the most common causes of death in India. Approx a fourth of all deaths are caused by heart ailments. A study shows that 2.1 million people died due to it. It clearly demand’s a better understanding and awareness about the various problems related to cardiovascular health especially the heart attack. So let us discuss in detail the cause and prevention of heart attack.
As we all know that in this world every effect has its causes. same is with heart disease. Occurrence of heart attack is related to various causes ranging from out dietary habits to our lifestyle. take a look at some of the most common causes and also its preventions.
CAUSE- 1
SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE -
The type of lifestyle which involves little or almost no physical activity can be termed as a sedentary lifestyle. Someone living a sedentary lifestyle is often sitting or lying down for a very long period of time especially while doing some particular activity like reading, watching television or using a mobile phone/computer for much of the day. Many doctors say that this kind of lifestyle is as dangerous as smoking a cigarette.
PREVENTION-
LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION -
Well, every one of us know that if we are not living our life in a proper way then we are harming ourselves and lifestyle modification is the best possible way to get rid of that problem. Majorly, lifestyle modification can be done through improving our diet and increasing the amount of time which we devote towards physical activities like walking, jogging or playing some sport.
PROPER DIET-
A healthy diet and lifestyle are your best weapons to fight cardiovascular disease because it will make your cardiac health stronger than before by giving it everything that is required. It’s not as hard as you may think! All you have to do is eat the things which are good for your heart like-Leafy green vegetables, whole grains etc.

HIGH LEVEL OF CHOLESTEROL –
we all know that a high level of cholesterol in our blood is linked to cardiovascular problems. Usually, bad cholesterol gets deposited on the wall of arteries supplying blood to our vital organs. This deposition blocks the free flow of blood into our bodies. If the artery affected is supplying the blood to heart muscles itself, it may cause cardiac arrest or heart attack.
HYPERTENSION / HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE -
The excessive strain and resulting damage from high blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) causes the coronary arteries serving the heart to slowly become narrowed from a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances that together are called plaque. As arteries harden with plaque, blood clots become more likely to form. The ideal blood pressure range is somewhere between 120mmHg over 80mmHg.
DIABETES -
Having diabetes means that you are more likely to develop heart disease and you also have a greater chance of a heart attack. People with diabetes are also more likely to have some conditions, or risk factors, that increase the chances of having heart disease, such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
INHERITED HEART DISEASE – Many times there are chances when some heart disease is inherited into us from our parents or some times by birth like a congenital heart disease.
PREVENTION-
REGULAR MEDICAL CHECKUPS -
We should take medical checkups quite frequently and especially we should always pay more attention to our cholesterol and blood pressure levels because they play a major role in our cardiac health. We should also be more conscious of our health because as we all know that bad thing’s always gives a sign before coming.
PROPER MEDICATION –
If we are already suffering from some other disease like diabetes then we should pay more attention towards our medication because at times they can play a vital role because any medicine can prove to be important for us and as we all know that medicines should always be taken time and in the right quantity which is advised by the doctor
